How to Make Money By Writing Reviews on Ciao, How To Write a Review Online Tips

If you want to know the EASIEST way to make money online try writing reviews. This how to article will steer you in the right direction when it comes to writing and actually getting paid decently. I have written reviews for Epinions, Ebay, and Amazon but have never received one payment from any of those so I removed my reviews from those sites and put them on my new favorite site comparedby.us. I figure, why write reviews for those other sites so that they can post paid ads alongside my words when I can get a paycheck from this new site? These sites do not pay forever but they sure do pay at least for the first few months. I made tons of money on a site called Ciao.com for the first 3 months but they have recently done away with paying per review. They usually warn you first so get all your reviews in while the site is in their first few months. That is the trick the pay scale is only temporary but I will update you so as soon as I find out a site is paying you'll find out and when a site stops paying I'll post that too.

How to start
First you'll need to register for an account with comparedby.us. Below is my referral link. If you sign up by using my link I will return the favor by signing up for one of your sites so that you can get credit for me. Just send me a message with your referral link.

Make sure you have a Paypal account prior to signing up with Comparedby.us. This is how they will be paying you monthly so you'll want to set this up before you begin. If you sell on Ebay you probably have a Paypal account already so you won't need another one.

Once you have signed up you should create your profile. You can upload a picture of yourself, choose your layout colors, and write a tagline.

Write your first review as soon as possible. You can pick just about anything to write about. People usually start out with a review on a movie because it is easy. In time you will want to write reviews on products that will get the most hits (page views). Those items will usually be electronics and the newer the better. My advice is to just write what you know about. I am no movie buff and though I have written a couple of movie reviews before, I find them to be boring to write. You'll want to write about something you know and like to talk about. In my case, the topic would be beauty products which is perfect because there is a section on just that. There is pretty much a section for just about anything and if there isn't you can request the product you'd like to review and if they approve it you will get 1st crack at writing the review for that item.

Once you get established go ahead and navigate your way around the site. It is a social community filled with a ton of nice people. You will receive friend requests right away. Go ahead and approve them all because you will need all the friends, support and advice you can get in the beginning. Please feel free to add me as well, my name on Comparedby.us is Rachel1919.

Some tips for writing reviews:

You can write 2 kinds of reviews, a quick review or a standard review which is 120 words or more. The difference between the 2 is the pay rate. I always write the full standard review. 120 words isn't really a lot to write, looks wise it equals one paragraph. This paragraph you are reading is 120 words long. You'll want to write a good review if you want to receive high ratings. Some people believe that longer is better but I personally think it is better to write quality rather than quantity. Another thing to keep in mind is to always write as if you are speaking to someone. It just helps the words flow faster and it makes for a more pleasant read.

Wanna know how much you get paid?
I am not an expert at Comparedby.us payment breakdown but I can tell you what I understand to be true from my experience. This is only an estimate however, it will give you an idea of what you can expect to be paid for your work. I wish someone had put this information out there for me to look over when I began. I was curious and skeptical at first because I have tried many sites that just didn't pan out. This site is a good one though and I can honestly say that I recommend it above all others. It reminds me of how I felt about Ebay in the beginning.

You will receive a payment from Comparedby.us directly into your Paypal account around the 15th of each month. The cash out minimum is $20.00 which you will easily make in the first day. Your pay will be totaled once every 24 hours. So if I wrote 8 reviews on Wednesday I would see that I made $8.00 + the extra activity such as views, ratings and referrals on Thursday morning. You can cash out everyday if you'd like as long as you have met the minimum payout. Comparedby.us keeps great records which you can check at anytime from your home page.

  • Each review you write will earn you $1.00
  • Each review that receives a view will earn you .01, .02, or .03 cents Depends on if the review is on a movie ($.01) or a more pricey digital camera ($.03) (I think, so don't quote me on that)
  • You will also want to rate other reviews right now they are awarding bonuses if you rate 10 reviews you get like 2 cents each plus every 10th rating you'll get a nice bonus of .25 cents and I think it's .50 cents for every 25th rating.
  • If you are the first person to review a particular product you will receive an extra $1.00 so in essence you are getting $2.00 per review.
  • Earn $1.00 for every referral plus you will receive half of what they make during their first 6 months. IE: if your referral posts a reviews you will get $0.50 each one plus half of their views and ratings. The person who is referred gets the full $1.00 as well so they do not lose a cent by being referred. Might as well use a referral link right? :o) hint hint :o)

~Here are my dos~

  • Do make friends on the site, accept all friend requests in the beginning and if later on you decide to not have them as your friend you can always remove them.
  • Do take the time to rate other people's reviews, it is what makes the site work.
  • Do sign up your friends and family. Yes, you may refer people who live in the same household as you they just need to have a separate paypal account.

~Here are my don'ts~

  • Don't participate in clicking cartels (you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours) You may run into members that will message you to let you know when they have written a new review and they will ask you to rate it then they'll return the favor. You can rate their review if you like but don't follow suit and message all of your friends like they did. This is against the rules and these people always end up getting booted off the site.
  • Don't rate others based on tit-for-tat. If someone leaves you a "not helpful" rating you must resist the urge to retaliate the rating.
  • Don't rate another person's review with a 1 or a 2 rating just because you don't like the product or don't agree with their opinion of the product. You are only supposed to rate reviews based on how thoroughly they described the item and how well they expressed "their" opinion. If you'd like to bash a product you should write your own review on that particular product. You can rate the product itself from 1 - 5 stars and express the qualms you have had with it there.

Get paid to write reviews on everyday items It's my favorite site!

Please help me out with something if you are able to, I could really use some referrals, the site is kosher and it won't cost you anything to join. I just recently found an alternate way to earn extra money from home (Ebay sux lately) this site is really cool and it is going to be big, Microsoft just purchased it which is a very good sign, I have already earned money on here.

Mainly what you do is write reviews on the stuff you use every day ie; movies, shampoo, video games or cameras etc. It is just like writing reviews for ebay or Amazon the only difference is that this site pays you for your reviews instead of just posting them on their site and then running ads alongside your reviews to profit off of your writing. This site pays $1.00 per review that you submit plus then you receive additional money for views and ratings of your reviews. The money adds up quickly. Your review doesn't have to be long or even perfect just write what you think of the product you want to review. One paragraph would be long enough for a review and you can be honest and tell the negative and positives of any product they do not censor you.

If you sign up please do so through my link (below) so I will get credit for you joining and add me to your friends list, my id is Rachel1919. I would be happy to return the favor and join one of your favorite sites so that you can get credit for me as well. Just message your link to me and let me know that you signed up through my link. If the link does not work for you I am also able to email you a private invitation if you'd prefer. To request one of those you can send me a message on Ebay just include the email address you'd like the invitation sent to. Please feel free to email or message me if you have any questions about it or need some tips and advice about the site. The community is very upbeat and friendly and you will have a lot of fun there. I am online every single day and I look forward to it so much. You'll see what I mean.

Thanks for reading my ramblings,
Rachel

Make $$$ Online Surveys, Referrals, Freebies, PTC

I am a stay at home single Mom of a 4 year old little boy. I do not have a "job" I just work on the computer every day. It is possible to stay at home and make enough money to survive and pay the bills. I have been working from home since my son was born and my bills are covered and I do have extra time to spend with my son. My ex-husband does not pay child support at all so all of my income comes from online sources. This blog is all about ways to make money, get free stuff, find great sites and I'll add some tips that I have learned along the way. I am a member of all the sites on this page and have received checks, rewards, services, perks, freebies and all sorts of goodies from them. I am online enough to know and recognize the fake websites and will never list any bogus sites at all. Please sign up for the websites you are interested in joining through my referral links and banners. It is the only way I can receive credit for you signing up, more about referrals later (they are imperative to boost your income). Well, I hope you enjoy my first effort at blogging, I will work hard at it and update it often. Thank you so very much for stopping by and please feel free to bookmark me :o)

First things first

Secondary Email Address

You will need a separate email address (it has to be one that you will use strictly for freebies etc... There are many places that offer free email addresses. I use rock.com but you can also get an extra email account from gmail, Yahoo, MSN Hotmail, Mail.com and I am sure there are many others. Just be sure you are able to get into the email just in case you are asked to click on a confirmation link or something.

You may need a phone number

I use my home phone number only because I never use my home phone (I use my cell phone whenever I talk on the phone). Do not give out your real phone number. You can sign up for either
eVoice or K7. Both are FREE online messaging services that provide you with a FREE phone number. This way, you will not receive pesky sales calls at your landline or cellular phone. Most places don't even call so you may be able to get away with just making up a number (change the last 2 digits)

Home address

Use your real address for everything not a P.O. box especially when requesting freebies. Yes, you will get some junk mail but it comes with the territory.

PayPal

Paypal is a great thing! I don't have one negative thing to say about paypal.com. It is a service that I use to receive payments for Ebay and I use it to pay for just about everything I buy online. A lot of the (most resputable) cashback sites will send you payments through Paypal and the don't charge a transaction fee for it either. If you don't already have a Paypal account I recommend getting one it will make your life so much easier.

STOP! Before you buy anything else online join a cashback / rebate site. Seriously you will thank me after you get your first check.

What is a Cashback Site?

These are sites that allow you to shop online as normal at many of your favorite retailers and receive cashback or other rewards such as points for doing so. It is a simple process and all you have to ensure is that when you shop online you do it through the cashback site. These cashback sites and online reward programs receive a percentage from the retailer when you click and shop (buy something) through these sites.

For example....

Target.com pays Mr. Rebates 10% of your total

and Mr. Rebates then in turn pays you 8% rebate on what you buy

so Target gets the sale = $50.00

Mr. Rebates gets $5.00 = 10%

and you get $4.00 = 8%

That leaves Mr. Rebates making 2% = $1.00 after you get paid.

The payout is $10.00 which is really low and that is great! Once the retailer confirms your purchase the cashback site receives that commission from the retailer and passes a portion or all of it onto you as cashback or rewards. In a way using a cashback site is a bit like using a CVS card just better. I have been using cashback sites for over three years now and have received payments and points from each one that I have referral link for below. In my experience, earning cashback for shopping online is a great way to save money on things you are going to buy anyway.

A hint; before you check out run a google search for codes. Type in the Google or Yahoo search bar the name of your store plus the word code, ie; "Target code" then just hightlight and copy the best code you find and insert it into the box where it asks for a promo code. Make sure you don't click through a new link though or it will override the cashback site Mr.Rebates (obviously my favorite) searches the codes for you.
